Perhaps the most popular walk among the locals is the Teufelsrad. Since 1908, visitors have been competing with each other to stay on a rotating disc for as long as possible. If you pay, you can stay there as long as you want. Don’t be surprised if you look at the next table and see a toddler drinking what looks like a beer (I promise it’s probably just a carbonated apple drink). There are plenty of great things to do at Oktoberfest besides drinking beer. Personally, even on a budget, I spent about 50 euros a day (not cheap, I know!) for food, drinks and a few walks.
